Rebate check!

Got my Hasbro game rebate last week for $16.00 from the awesome game deal we got a couple months ago at Toys R Us!  We bought around 10 family games and with coupons and this rebate only spent $20 for all of them!  Not bad!

Busy, busy, busy

No, I haven't forgotton about my blog or this trip that I have only a small $9.95 started ... the truth is I have just been busy.  I can say that to with all honesty and sincerity!  After being out of town 4 times last month and already twice this week alone I feel overwhelmed!

But, I do have a few deposits coming up soon.  I have some rebate checks coming, survey checks and even posted a few things on cragislist so lets cross our fingers the EOM balance is well, a little higher! ;)  Be back soon!

Plink, Plink... first pennies in the bank

Today, I recieved a refund check for a Coupon certificate I ended up not participating in, I got my $9.95 back and I putting this as the first pennies in the saving bank...  Sigh - feels good already!

Couponing to Cabo? Bargaining to Bahamas? Saving to St. Thomas?

Over the last couple months I have learned A LOT about saving, clipping coupons and other various ways of saving and making money all while being a full-time stay-at-home Mama!  I am proud to say we are making major headway on our grocery budget and other odds and ends - something many mom's out there strive to do everyday!  It is a rewarding thing to know you saved more money than you spent when you look at that reciept, but then you fold it away for the books, pat yourself on the back and go back to your next money making venture.  I decided - why not put all those dollars and cents into a real, tangible reward?  Something that will show my appreciation to my husband for all the hard work he does everyday to help us live a happy, fulfilling life! 

Then I thought... let's save my way to a second Honeymoon, a trip for two, a SURPRISE getaway? 

He hasn't a CLUE... so help me keep the secret and our budget!
